Go to Trondheim, Norway in mid June to learn about what it will take to make the shift to green energy from Norway’s leading experts at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and SINTEF, Scandinavia’s largest independent research organisation.

The university welcome all working journalists— meaning people who work as freelance journalists and those with staff positions at different media outlets, such as newspapers, TV, radio and web outlets. They targeted journalists who cover climate/energy issues, but general assignment journalists are also welcome, as long as they work for the media. The workshop is not intended for writers/journalists who are employed at universities or research institutions.

They have arranged for travel stipends for up to 20 journalists who would like to participate in the workshop, which will take place on the evening of 16 June and all day Friday, 17 June. The plan is to be out and about in laboratories and experimental sites, so there should be plenty of visuals for video journalists. A committee will review all the applications and decide who gets the stipend on a case-by-base basis. However, people are certainly welcome to attend without the help of a travel stipend!
